Daily Vitamins

This morning I woke up and had cinnamon & spice oatmeal for breakfast. Then I went to the gym (that's right I'm back..again) with Katelyn. As I was on the tredmill, I took a drink of water, which caused me to burp. Not the earth shattering belch you are all use to from me, the I'm in public not letting this out type, and I realize it tastes like seafood. I ignore this and continue on. I drink some more water and again burp. And again it tastes like seafood. So now I'm freaking out inside (because outside I'm talking to Katelyn as we walk) thinking that there's something seriously wrong with my body that it is processing oatmeal as seafood. This is not good. Am I dying? Is there something rotting inside my body? Am I not going to make it through this workout, let alone this day?! JESSIE IS FREAKING OUT!

I continue to burp seafood and it's worrying me inside and makes my mouth taste gross. I leave the gym (not because of the seafood because my workout was done) and drive home. As I'm driving home, I call Wendy, leave her a message and when I hang up I say to myself...YOU IDIOT YOU TOOK YOUR VITAMINS THIS MORNING (one of which was fish oil)!!!

It's been so long since I took my vitamins that I forgot I took them and thought I was rotting internally!!! The moral of the story (2 of them): 1. don't forget that you took your vitamins 2. buy fish oil without fishy burps as I feel this will make you worry about your insides less!!!

Today's workout was:

- abs (back & sides) 30reps each side
- 40lbs ab machine
- leg lifts (30)
- 40min walking on an incline
- 20min elliptical
- 2min on the Jacob's Ladder (see title link if you're curious)

Scheduled to go on Monday, Thursday, Saturday w/ Katelyn and hoping to go other days on my own. Hopefully next week, I'll start running - once I get into the swing of the gym.

I also had the Championship Game for softball tonight. Lots of running, lots of hitting, lots of sweating and catching...but we lost by 2. The ladies played really hard tonight and it was a great season. We'll get it back next year!! Fall Ball on Fridays through October!!!

Workout LOA

So, I'm back! From outer space. I just walked in to find myself here w/ that sad look upon my face. I should've not been sick last week, I should've still done something. If I'd have known for just one second, I'd be out for a whole week! OH NOW GO! Go back to the gym. Don't turn around now, you are back on your way!! OK, I'm done signing my strong woman back to the gym version of I'll Survive!

I know you thought I wasn't coming back and that I completely gave up, but I didn't! Here's what happened. Last Sunday morning (had to be at work at 5am) @ 3am, I was woken up by my sore throat. NEVER a good sign! I work Sunday and start to lose my voice due to the razor blades I am swallowing, play softball Sunday night. Monday morning, I go to the DR. I don't have strep - yay! I'm then told to let it work itself out - boo! REALLY? Nothing? That was a waste of time, bought some ass tasting, throat numbing lozenges. I work Monday - have no voice. Work Tuesday - less voice. Work Wednesday - still no voice - less razor blade swallowing, more like small rocks now. No work from Thurs-Sun. So why didn't I do something then? Because I hadn't slept since my throat hurt AND I worked many days in a row (6) and I'm tired. So I decide to give my body a rest - yay! I did have my gym buddy wanting to go a couple of days, but because I was resting, I did things.

So, I went back today! I did an hour of cardio. Nothing spectacular, but a good way to come back. Let me tell you, when your body has been out of sorts for a week or so, the first day back is a killer! I'm amazed I was even able to do what I did without falling over! My gym buddy (Katelyn) was there with me, but I don't know if she could see me suffering!!

- 30min ellipical
- 30min walking on tredmill @ incline
Hopefully next time will be better - my body is slow at recovering. Is that because I am in my LATE TWENTIES?!!

During my resting time I did:

- sleep (Thursday was lots of sleeping)
- softball (Wed, Thurs, Sun)
- whale watch (Fri)
- saw District 9 (Fri)
- went to a wedding reception (Sat)
- Jonas's bday party and softball (Sun)
- I "swam" on Sun @ the party. That is in quotes because I described myself as a ship that was under attack by pirates a.k.a. 6 kids climbing ALL over me! At one point, I asked who was kicking my bottoms off and then my top came undone! (that was a timeout for me, so that I could retie myself - they didn't give me much time to do that - then it was back to being the pirated ship)!

Thank God for softball or I'd be a lump on a log!

I always feel like somebody's watching me

Working out and then working 10 hours is difficult the first week back. I use to work out 2 hours before I worked at night. This time around, it's almost 1 am, I'm tired, but I was tired while I was at the gym! But, it still felt good to be at the gym again. Today, Larry (who said welcome back last time) asked me where my workout buddy was. I explained to him that she was working and that on Monday's we have opposite schedules. THEY REALLY ARE WATCHING ME AT THE GYM! Have to make my workouts count, if the trainers are watching me!

Today's workout was:

- 30min on the elliptical
- 30min on the tredmill (2min walk, 1min run)
- no time for anything else because I had to go to work :o(

Don't think there's a workout tomorrow because I am going to a Brockton Rox Baseball game, but you never know! Wednesday's workout is my softball game after work.
